I live on a 45' catamaran in the Caribbean. I am researching spraying copper granules onto/into paint or resin thus creating a solid copper bottom. Have you any experience with this concept? All I've found so far is one article/comment warning of electrolysis problems. See below.

I live on a 45' catamaran. I hope to circumnavigate over the next ? years. So said, I'm researching spraying pure copper granules into/onto a cleaned hull painted with a two-part paint (Pithane) or resin (West) while still wet/sticky/tacky. Is this a practical alternative to copper sheeting? I've heard that there might be galvanic problems in doing so.
